FREIGHT UPDATE

Hello, fellow gamers. Time for the monthly update!
As you know, last month we titled our Update "HERE THEY COME..." as our fulfillment houses, freight forwarders (FF), and manufacturers were all open and back to business. In the past weeks since that Update, we have been consistently working with our awesome FF to get the games out of China and to the 6 different locations that they need to get to across the globe.
While we wish we were here to say the games have been "on the water", they have not been. As of the writing of this, Wild Power Games and our FF are still waiting on the manufacturer to release the products. The good news is that the freight forwarding logistics are worked out and planned for the entire distribution of games, so when they leave the Chinese ports, there is a known plan for timelines. For those that have met with us in person at conventions pre-COVID19, you know that we are as excited as you are to get Streets Of Steel into our hands. The wait is almost over and we continue to be thankful for your patience. It has been a strange six months for sure, but we are almost through it.

Hello everyone. A very quick update for you. As of today, all fulfillment houses in US, EU, AU, and CA are open and expecting shipments of Streets Of Steel. The manufacturer and freight company have been unleashed to get the games moving! Phew. This is exciting!

COVID CONTINUES TO IMPEDE, SOME REGIONS OPEN

Hello everyone-
Monthly update time. As we have said before, thank you so much for your patience. It is a bizarre time to be making games but we are overcoming obstacles, if at a slower pace than normal. You may have read on other projects/news that internationals ports were closed and transportation bans are preventing Chinese manufacturers from functioning at full capacity. Air shipments are all but stopped and therefore either halted entirely or prohibitively expensive. Ocean shipping is open and though slower and at a lower capacity, is more affordable. There are backups at ports but shipments eventually make it out.
Below, in the same format as the last update, are notes about each region. Instead of waiting for all regions to be clear, we will now open paths to individual regions where we feel we can confidently send palettes of games without (overwhelming) fear that they will be rejected by closed warehouses. Additionally, the manufacturer is OK with sending partial shipments to different locations worldwide.
USA - As of today we are working to release a shipment to our fulfillment house in the USA. It typically takes one month or so to receive shipments from China. We have no idea what it will be like now. The same can be said for getting the games from the ports to the warehouse. We will keep everyone updated.
CANADA - Our Canadian was closed, but we just heard that it is open again. However, we have also been told that there is a chance it will close again. We have not been able to lock down prices for getting games into Canada but are working on it.
EU (and surrounding regions) - We have been able to move forward here and have been setting up the fulfillment houses to receive games. No timing here, but it is moving forward!
AU/NZ/ASIA (and surrounding regions) - Same as EU. We have been able to move forward here and have been setting up the fulfillment houses to receive games. No timing here, but it is moving forward!
If we hear that any of these shipments have left the manufacturer, we will send out an update sooner than one month out. This will hopefully be the case!

OVERCOMING COVID OBSTACLES

Thank you, everyone, for being so patient.
Since many of us are now spending so much time at home, it would be amazing if we could get everyone their games so that they may enjoy them during this tough time.
MANUFACTURER UPDATE
Our manufacturer in China claims to be ramping back up and should be able to ship our games soon. This is great news, which leads us to the next step in the chain... fulfillment houses.
FULFILLMENT HOUSES
Our initial plan was to work with one company but quickly moved to four fulfillment houses when we learned that the one could not get our games across the planet and into all ports on their own. We are in contact with the four companies now, checking in on their individual situations in the new COVID impacted world. Here is where we are at as of the writing of this Update:
USA - Our US fulfillment house is ready to receive and ship. Their staff is back at work.
CANADA - Our Canadian location is closed. In its place, we will be shipping to and from our USA fulfillment house.
EU (and surrounding regions) - We are not yet aware of their current status.
AU/NZ (and surrounding regions) - We are not yet aware of their current status.
We are looking into the possibility of shipping a portion of our games from China to the fulfillment houses that are open and ready to fulfill. We will keep everyone posted when we find out more.\

CORONAVIRUS CLOSINGS & PAX EAST

Hello
As we are sure you are all aware, the Coronavirus has been affecting China in a terrible and heartbreaking way. We have been in touch with our manufacturer, who is located in China, and everyone is healthy. However, they are unable to go to work, and additionally, much of the Chinese port business has been closed or reduced dramatically.
Though your games are complete and ready for shipping to the rest of the world, they are locked up at the warehouse and unable to leave China. We have been informed by our freight specialist that things there are being sorted ”day to day” and that our shipping date is unknown.
We wish everyone there the best and hope for the quickest recovery possible.
PAX EAST and BACKER COPIES
We will be attending PAX EAST this weekend. When we booked our booth last year we of course figured we would have shipped all games by now, and would be showing up to the convention with boatloads of new games to sell. Unfortunately, we are in the same situation that we were in at PAX UNPLUGGED. We will be bringing a small number of advanced copies of SOS to sell at the convention to recoup our booth costs. The good news however, is that we will be bringing BACKER versions of the games in case you happen to be there and want to pick up your copy! Please come by and see us if you are at the convention!
