SHIPPING

Our European and Australian based fulfillment centers have sent tracking numbers and/or games to almost 100 percent of backers in their regions of the world. Unfortunately, our US/CA-based company has still not been able to begin fulfillment. Our games have now been sitting in their warehouse for many weeks and though we keep trying to get them shipped, the backlog at the center is preventing it. We are in continuous communication with them, trying to get a specific date for release. As soon as we have real dates we will pass them (and tracking numbers) on to you. This is especially frustrating for us, as this is our home turf, but we remain optimistic that they will ship very soon.

We will send a new update as soon as we hear that the US/CA region games have shipped.

Have a great weekend!

Some Games Shipped to Backers, Some Still Processing
over 3 years ago – Sat, Oct 03, 2020 at 01:46:46 AM

Hello!

By now, some of you may have received your games but many of you have not. As of now, backers that are being fulfilled by our EU center are being shipped packages. Those being served by our CA, US, and AU centers are still in line to ship soon.

A few boxes of non-game rewards have been taking an unexpectedly long time to arrive at the shipping centers. These were sent separately from the games and minis using standard shipping process vs freight and are trailing behind the games. Some of these boxes are now a month in transit. The EU package arrived only recently and so shipping has begun.

We are now working with the other fulfillment centers to try to start shipping in waves so that orders that do not need any of the in-transit items, etc., are able to be processed now.

For those that have received or are about to receive the game, HAVE FUN! We all certainly can use some right now. To those that are still waiting, hold tight... we really are almost at the finish line.

We wish you all good health and safety-

GAMES ARE AT FULFILLMENT HOUSES - PLUS A STORY OF UNLOADING
over 3 years ago – Wed, Aug 19, 2020 at 11:04:07 PM

Howdy

EU, AU, CA, and one of the US fulfillment houses have received the games! Some locations are still awaiting the non-game items which are also on their way (stickers, pins, extra dice, etc). This means games will be shipping very soon. The fulfillment houses need time to receive the extra items, process the products, and then ship them to you!

We say that one of the US fulfillment houses has the games because as of today, Wild Power Headquarters has received the US shipment in Providence, Rhode Island. From here, we will be redistributing the games to our fulfillment center in the US.

It is always wild when the giant 40-foot shipping container shows up at your dock, filled to the brim with new games.

For those that want a little look behind the curtain, here are the details of the week's events:

Wednesday 1 PM: Knowing that the shipment is arriving any day, we bite the bullet and buy our own used pallet jack off Craigslist. We usually borrow one, plus a dock plate, from the fantastic people at Untapped Games (a killer online and Brick and Mortar game store in our building). A dock plate spans the space between a dock and a truck bed. A pallet jack allows you to move many hundreds of pounds of goods on a pallet, by hand. We find out from Untapped that you need to give your pallet jack a name. Ours gets named Jackie-O.

Jackie-O

Monday 11 AM: We get a call from the trucking company to tell us that even though we were slated to take shipment at 1 PM, the truck is stuck in port and will be delayed by a whole day. We reschedule for Tuesday, 9/10 AM with an "I am a half-hour away" call from the truck driver. We adjust all of the unloader's schedules in response. We will be unloading not at Wild Power Games, but at a temporary, loaned. larger location down the street (since we have not only our copies but the fulfillment center copies as well).

Tuesday 8:00 AM: Ryan grabs his mobile phone and sees that the trucker called at 7 AM saying he was outside our warehouse! Our landlord sends a snippy text to tell us the trucker is blocking the works at the dock. We rush to the space to find the driver waiting for us.

Tuesday 8:30 AM: After looking at the two dock locations, we pick the front location and the trucker does some sick maneuvers to get the container backed into the dock, blocking all traffic. COUNTDOWN BEGINS (you get 2 hours of free truck time for unloading. After that... $$$)

Here they come!

Sadly, we notice upon opening the doors, that the dock at this new location is about 12 inches SHORTER than a standard dock. This is bad news. The cold sweats start. We cannot get the pallets off the truck. Luckily, Ryan figures out a way to rig the dock plate up as a ramp... and it WORKS!

phew.

Tuesday 8:45 AM: Unload! Three of us are unloading and have 1:45 to move thousands of games.

beeep. beeep. beeep.

Tuesday 9:30 AM: Going pretty well! We calculate that if we make a single pallet run from truck>space>truck in 5 minutes or less, we should finish in time.

Halfway there!
Archer loading in at about the halfway point. Lots more to the sides and behind us.

Tuesday 10:15 AM: Overcoming 2 potential issues where the pallets were stacked so high that they did not fit through the threshold... we finish the unload with 15 minutes to spare.   :)

All of the US product.
Empty truck!
left side of the room
right side of the room.

aaaaand there you go! All US games unloaded. Now, we process them and redistribute to fulfillment centers... and then to you!

If you made it all the way down here... thanks for listening!

ON THE WATER
almost 4 years ago – Mon, Jul 27, 2020 at 08:48:54 AM

Hello everyone-

Super quick update since we just here a couple of weeks ago (we like to post around the 20th-ish monthly :) . The games have been in transit and we are simply waiting for them to arrive at their respective locations around the planet. Should be any day now!

In the meantime, our other game, High Heavens, has been getting some really nice mentions in gamers' posts on IG and thought we would share a few. If you dig their accounts give 'em a follow (and of course, if you want to check out High Heavens, go to www.wildpowergames.com or your favorite game shop):

DATES! WE HAVE DATES!
almost 4 years ago – Thu, Jul 09, 2020 at 01:10:34 PM

We break from our previously scheduled updates to bring you this message :)

For the first time in a little while, we have some big news that is worth breaking the monthly Update cadence. We have been sent departure and arrival date estimates from our Freight Forwarder! We are noting them below, but please remember that while we all remain super-optimistic, these are still estimates. Also worth noting, these are the dates that the games will arrive at the ports in the four countries. There will be additional time added for the following:

  • up to a week to get to from port to fulfillment house
  • days needed for the fulfillment houses to pick and pack
  • days for the mail carrier do deliver to your address

We will be popping back in around the 20th for our monthly Update to let you know if everything is "on the water", as they say.

Cheers!
